Author Interview: Nassima Drihmi

Tell us about yourself.:
Nassima Drihmi is a Moroccan author and writer. Nassima was born on September 5th, 1997 in Souk El Arbaa Du Gharb. She is also a scriptwriter and songwriter.
She started writing stories, plays and songs at her younger age.
Nassima is the youngest of 4 siblings and currently living in Morocco.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?:
I grow up in Khenifra. A city in northern central Morocco, surrounded by the Atlas Mountains. Where I've spent most of my childhood.
I remember it, when I was a child. My mother used to buy me some stories to read. They were in both Arabic and French. So I fell in love with the world of imagination and creativity. Later, I've started writing short stories in my first teen years.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes, I have my new projects for the near future!

What authors have influenced you?

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing, keep writing and keep writing!


What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Never stop from showing your talents. Because good things take time!

What’s your biggest weakness?
Impatience

What is your favorite book of all time?
I've been a real fan of Victor Hugo's writing since my childhood. He is just unique!

When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your time?
I enjoy music a lot! I also like watching movies, hanging out and sleeping haha

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I think it was something special and interesting. It inspired me to read more and more.

What has inspired you and your writing style?
Reading many books in my childhood made me more curious about trying to write and have talent in creativity in general.

What are you working on now?
I am working on some artistic projects at the moment, hoping to make my fans happy and proud.
I am also thinking of publishing my first French story for children. (It is a story that I wrote when I was younger)

What is your favorite method for promoting your work?
I promote my books on my instagram official page where many followers can see it and reach me anytime!

What’s next for you as a writer?
I will keep writing and creating new things for the world!

How well do you work under pressure?
I love it! I love what I do. There was a time I powered through a difficult situation when things got tense and ended up achieving something great.

How do you decide what tone to use with a particular piece of writing?
I understand my audience and the context to align the tone with their expectations. Consider the purpose of my content whether it's informative, persuasive, or entertaining as this influences the tone.

If you could share one thing with your fans, what would that be?
I would personally reach out and speak with my fans.
