Certainly. I'm a budding poet and writer who's deeply passionate about literature and cinema. My fascination with research and critical theory adds another layer to my creative pursuits. Currently residing in Bern, Switzerland, I find immense joy in the city's charm, particularly the picturesque Aare and the enchanting snowy weather. Outside of my literary endeavors, I'm an avid cyclist and enjoy spending time playing with my kitten. Exploring new cafes and sampling diverse cuisines is another passion of mine, adding a delicious dimension to my adventures in Bern.

Growing up in Mumbai, India, has been profoundly impactful on both my worldview and my writing style. I find myself seamlessly navigating between the glitzy allure of the city's glamorous facets and the gritty, industrious essence of its more rustic areas. The Jazz age of Mumbai, with its vibrant energy, resonates deeply with me, especially evident in iconic locations like the Marines and Juhu. Additionally, my roots in Ratnagiri, a charming coastal town, have left an indelible mark on me. The warmth of the people and the richness of the local culture continually inspire my writing, infusing it with an authentic depth and sincerity.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Absolutely. My writing process is deeply intertwined with my love for the tactile sensation of pen and paper. While many opt for the convenience of a laptop, I find solace and inspiration in the traditional method of putting pen to paper. There's something inherently intimate and organic about the process that allows my thoughts to flow freely and uninhibited.

When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your time?
One of my favorite ways to unwind is by spending quality time with my cat, indulging in playful antics and enjoying the simple pleasures of companionship. Additionally, I find solace in music.

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
As a 12-year-old, delving into Ruskin Bond's "Once Upon a Monsoon Time" was a transformative experience for me. Bond's masterful storytelling whisked me away to a mesmerizing world.
Similarly, immersing myself in the thrilling tales of R.L. Stine during my school days was a cherished obsession. His spine-tingling plots and unexpected twists kept me eagerly turning pages late into the night.

What has inspired you and your writing style?
The culture I encounter and the stories of the people I meet serve as rich sources of inspiration for my creative endeavors. I find that immersing myself in different cultures exposes me to a diverse array of perspectives, traditions, and experiences, which in turn enriches my writing with depth and authenticity. The images and scenes that become entrenched in my mind from these encounters often find their way into my work, imbuing it with vivid imagery and a sense of place.

Moreover, the stories of the people I encounter leave a profound impact on me, shaping the characters and narratives that populate my writing. Each person I meet carries with them a unique story, filled with triumphs, struggles, and moments of profound significance. By listening to these stories and empathizing with the experiences of others, I'm able to infuse my writing with a sense of empathy and humanity that resonates with readers on a deeper level.

I rarely do work well under pressure.

How do you decide what tone to use with a particular piece of writing?
For me, selecting the appropriate tone for a piece of writing is largely instinctive. While certain guidelines and considerations may come into play, such as the intended audience and the subject matter, much of the decision-making process is driven by intuition and creative impulse. I find that allowing myself to be guided by my instincts often leads to more authentic and compelling writing, as it enables me to tap into the emotional resonance of the story and communicate with sincerity.
