Destiny might be the fastest three-year-old thoroughbred in Southern England, but her speed might not be enough to save Kit Carlyle from a marriage of convenience to dreaded Viscount Upshire. The viscount holds all her father’s debts and threatens foreclosure unless Kit agrees to wed. These dire circumstances bring back Tillie, Kit’s deceased Aberdeen Terrier, to help her lady. Tillie suggests only a win at Epsom will prevent the marriage, keeping Kit free to accept an offer from Marcus, who she has come to love, but Upshire has been controlling racing entries and winners for several years based on Marcus’s investigation. How will Kit, Tillie, and Marcus protect Destiny and win the race—for the money, for love?
