Tell us about yourself.:
I teach marketing for people who hate marketing with a passion. As a translator by trade who built two highly successful businesses from the ground up, I love helping fellow introverts translate their natural qualities into marketing superpowers.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?:
I grew up in the USA, in a French-speaking family, and moved to Canada 20 years ago. I've always loved exploring different frameworks and perspectives, and I bring that to my books and coaching today.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Sleep, wake, have coffee, resist the urge to check email, and WRITE for an hour!
That's how I wrote AI Resilient.
What authors have influenced you?
I grew up in the USA, in a French-speaking family, and moved to Canada 20 years ago. I've always loved exploring different frameworks and perspectives, and I bring that to my books and coaching today.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just write! It's like riding a bike. You need to DO IT to make the mistakes that are a necessary part of learning and growth.
Stop reading about it and just write.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Have a goal, and have a plan.
Very few people have both.
What are you reading now?
Ask Outrageously
What’s your biggest weakness?
Shiny-object syndrome : )
What is your favorite book of all time?
That's a tough one! I'd say Bill Bryson's The Mother Tongue.
When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your time?
Walking my dog and chilling at my local Nordic spa!
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
C.S. Lewis, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
That was pure magic for me as a kid.
What has inspired you and your writing style?
I like keeping things real and informal.
To me, writing isn't about impressing people.
It's about sharing a message that matters.
What are you working on now?
I'd like to start a thoughtful, nuanced YouTube channel featuring primarily long-form videos to share business insights for introverts.
What is your favorite method for promoting your work?
LinkedIn and my email list
What’s next for you as a writer?
I'll definitely be writing more business books. Maybe a guide for solopreneurs, or a book on marketing for introverts!
How well do you work under pressure?
Not that great. I need space. That's why I like to write in the early morning.
How do you decide what tone to use with a particular piece of writing?
I write as ME. That's it. I'm no different on the page than I am in real life, and anyone who knows me will be able to confirm this.
If you could share one thing with your fans, what would that be?
Believe in yourself. Even when you feel small, dare to do the thing you fear.
You got this.
Do the thing, and have the power.
