Tell us about yourself.:
My name means Miracles and is exactly the path of my life. From my mother being told that her womb was not right for having babies to now me turning 62 on Jan/2025.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?:
Born in Puerto Rico, raised on St. Croix VI, from the age of 5 months old.
I endured lots of pain (every form of abuse) during my childhood. There seemed to be a sense of normalcy or acceptance of this behavior. More so, the rule of not talking about “those things” made victims “silent prisoners” of abuse. I was broken, tormented, lonely and silenced by fear.
My outlet was writing in the form of poetry. I could not share the actions taken against me but I shared the feelings of my devastation.
I was inspired and influenced to write by the silence of my invisible scars.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Ummm yesss!!!
TV on an inspirational quotes soundscape, IPad playing music as I write on my phone.
My brain often seems to widen and gets attracted to other things when there is silence.
TV on meditation like music (no talking) + iPad on songs that feeds the mood of my writing = my brain free flowing to write!!!

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Stay ready to take notes.
I slept with a notebook and pen by my side for many years. Now I have my phone.
Be mindful of words and statements that awaken a spark in you. Write them down; those are often bridges that lead to your next book.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Do not stop writing. Your work may not be for everyone but certainly is for the RIGHT ones!!!
What are you reading now?
Discover The Power Within You
by Eric Butterworth
What’s your biggest weakness?
Promoting.
I find myself very challenged in this area.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Come Away My Beloved
by Francis J. Roberts
When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your time?
Most of my activities involve writing. My brain is always looking for beauty in nature: trees, clouds, rainbows, rain, lightning, thunder, the sea, storms, etc
Then gratitude and inspiration overtakes me and my brain begins writing.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
At 7 yrs old, I found a magazine, it had a story about an African orphanage. Saw a picture of many children with their faces pressed against the fence, watching the kids who were on the inside eating. There wasn’t room or food for them. The reason for the pain in their eyes was different to mine and yet we carried the same loneliness and brokenness. I decided to find ways to help bring joy to children. I tutored and took care of children, even when I was a child. Later, it became my goal to help children, by opening a “window” of possibilities and opportunities, thru my writing, for them to see their success is not bound by their environment.
What has inspired you and your writing style?
I found inspiration in the unnoticed resilience of humankind. Surviving abuse, overcoming guilt, shame and self-hate and conquering the cage that held me prisoner.
What are you working on now?
I have several projects in process based on Gratitude, Cancer, and Faith.
What is your favorite method for promoting your work?
Still exploring. However, I share my stories, my life, and people get interested and ask how the can get my autobiography.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My immediate goal is to promote my autobiography, The Muted Cage.
It was a Divine assignment given to me in 1993. Later, in 2003, confirmed by a stranger I had never seen and never saw again.
It is a work of TRUTH, ENLIGHTENMENT and HEALING that has led me to a life is Self~Love and Gratitude.
How well do you work under pressure?
In the past, very well.
However, currently under a diagnose of Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer, and Brain, Eye and Heart strokes, I find myself limited and challenged.
So, it depends on how we’ll my body responds to what is happening at the time.
How do you decide what tone to use with a particular piece of writing?
The tone is set by the effects the topic or theme has on my brain and heart.
I usually allow the intention of the piece to lead.
If you could share one thing with your fans, what would that be?
You are here intentionally and with purpose.
Your worth cannot be measured be man(woman), it must be carried and honored by you!!
