About The Best Weed I Never Smoked: A Rebels Journey To Success:

This book gives the reader an intimate look into how the author overcomes real life obstacles and grows from a struggling realtor to an industry leader and business owner. At the same time, Arun also evolves from a recreational user to an advocate for change. This story will make you question the motives of the war on drugs and opens your eyes to the injustice it can have on everyday people. But this is not a victim’s tale, this is a story about finding success and happiness despite mistakes with consequences.

Author Bio:
Arun Jagtiani is the son of Indian immigrants who move to the Dutch Caribbean island of St. Maarten in the early 1970’s. Together with his older brother Dino, they were sent to New Jersey to live with family in the late 1980’s where they attended West Windsor Plainsboro High School. As a teen he became rebellious and by the age of 16 he had worn out his welcome in New Jersey. Instead of being sent back to St. Maarten, he was invited to live with other family members in London, England
where he attended Southgate College. After graduating with a B-TEC National Diploma in Hospitality, he returned home to St. Maarten and worked various jobs for a few years. At the age of 21 he moved to Miami where he attended Florida International University (FIU). During his sophomore year in college he dropped out of school because his girlfriend at the time got pregnant. Unable to work in the US as an international student, he was forced to move back to St. Maarten so he could earn an income
and provide for his new family. In St. Maarten he started selling timeshare and after a year, he was able to save up enough money to go back to FIU and still financially provide for his daughter.
In 2002 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and then returned home to St. Maarten where he started his career in Real Estate sales. Over the years he has been featured on several popular real estate reality shows such as HGTV’s House Hunters International and Caribbean Life, as well as NBC’s Open House.
Today he owns and operates Island Real Estate Team with his wife and business partner. Together they have a 9 year old son, and all live happily together on the beautiful island of Sint Maarten.
