Ubiratan Gonzaga was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and lives in Germany since 2014. He is an author, yogi and Yoga instructor. Since his childhood he was attracted to spiritual traditions, and was thoroughly instructed by different teachers in Christianism, Spiritualism, Hinduism and Shamanism.
He has travelled the world and spent nineteen years in spiritual practices, and his life in the Indian Himalayas brought him into contact with yogis of profound knowledge and insight. He also lived in the Amazon Rain Forest in Northern Brazil, and for five years was initiated in the spiritual traditions of Shamanic Christianism, African spirituality and various indigenous tribes.
Bira is also the creator of the Ancient School of Yoga, which is an Online program on Yoga history, philosophy, and the higher practices of Traditional Yoga. He already gave classes and workshops in Spain, Scotland, England, Ireland, India, Germany, Brazil, Greece, Russia, Holland and Belgium.
Tommy Pilgrim is an account of his initiation in Yoga and the masters he met. He started writing it in the year 2002. He is currently giving classes in Tostedt, Germany.
