Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I currently have one book available "Forever Yours," The Big Rhonda Series. I am currently rewriting my first novel "Christmas In Glory".
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is "Forever Yours," The Big Rhonda Series. I got the idea for the Big Rhonda character from someone I attended church with. He had shared a story about a person he knew that everyone called Big Rhonda, although, unlike my character, she was no angel.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually have to have the TV going while I write. I don't watch anything that may distract me so I usually have it playing old westerns like "The Virginian" or "Bonanza" or "Big Valley". I watched these shows with my parents as a kid so while I enjoy watching them, they don't distract me from focusing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite Christian authors. I also like Colleen Coble.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on rewriting my first novel, "Christmas In Glory". After that, I will be back working on book two of the Big Rhonda Series.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I've used Amazon ads, Facebook ads, and Facebook groups for most of my advertising, although I am beginning to broaden my marketing strategies.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The best advice is what every author has probably heard a million times. Read every day and write every day.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I've heard is, "to be a successful writer you have to keep your butt in the chair." Basically, you have to write daily.
What are you reading now?
Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations by Margaret Daley
What’s next for you as a writer?
Book Two of The Big Rhonda Series.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I would have to say my favorite book of all time would have to be "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens
