Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I live in central New Hampshire in a lovely area with mountains, streams, lakes and abundant wildlife. I enjoy hiking, cycling, traveling and of course writing.
I currently have two novels recently published: Embodiment of Love with Dream Big Publishing and Passages A Trilogy: Book One; Touch me from Afar with Solstice Publishing. Books two and three are contracted and scheduled for release later in 2017.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book was released just after my first book, four days apart! So, it's an exciting time for me. The title: Passages A Trilogy: Book One; Touch me from Afar
This trilogy was inspired by being in the travel industry for over twenty-seven years. I have explored so many exciting locations in Europe, Asia, Caribbean and other areas. A favorite is Iceland, specifically the Arctic. Glorious country. Hardly touched by tourism at all, especially up in the north.
Passages Book One; Touch me from Afar started from seeing ancient sites in Iceland and in England where mysteries still abound and ancient customs and folklore are still discussed. I am fascinated with our ancestors, the occult and the idea that we have lived in many lives.
A few years ago I visited a true Hungarian gypsy. She told me I was an old soul and had lived in several lifetimes. I explored a lot of what she said further and although some of it did not pertain to me, I did discover along my journey a very reputable local lady who does indeed have the abilities to delve into one's past and provide interesting details about possibilities.
This took me further into my writing as I incorporated my love of various countries, history, historical people and came up with this trilogy. Still romance, but with plenty of twists. I hope to leave each reader wondering if they were here before? Perhaps they will begin their own special journey as I have.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I do! At least I think so compared to some of the people I know who write and are published.
I see a story to the end in my mind. Then, I work backward. I research along the way all my factual details and create characters names, locations and specifics while I am working backward.
I enjoy my process!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Diana Galbaldon for one. But my love of romantic stories goes way back to Fern Michaels, Nora Roberts and others.
What are you working on now?
A new series called the Anchor and Mermaid Series.
The first book; Down East Desires is set in Lubec, Maine. A modern day romance but it delves into mermaids, rumrunners and a bit of local lore and mystery. This series will all be in modern time but will involve in some way the sea, strong, spirited, men and women and local stories.
Down East Desires is still in rough draft. The next in this series will be in the lovely, rugged cliffsides of Cornwall and Devon, England.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I spurt out my website; www.sandrawaine.com whenever I can. Facebook, twitter, etc.
I post blogs, pictures, updates, links, all the details of where to find me and what I am working on here. It is my lifeline!
When I add/update/change anything, I let the public know on all my social media sites providing little detail hoping they click on my website link and check it out for themselves.
