Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a veteran currently residing on the western part of the country. I wrote and published my first book almost ten years ago and this is my second attempt at a best seller.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is OBORONE, which means defense in Russian. The inspiration came from not wanting to write another typical hero worship drama where one man or woman saves the day.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I do not have unusual writing habits. I like to be consistent an disciplined when it comes to the writing process.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
The legends such as Shakespeare and Twain as well as contemporary authors such as James Paterson and Janet Ivanovich.

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a book of songs which I hope to publish before the end of the year.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Currently it would have to be social media through friends and acquaintances as well as Amazon.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write with passion and don't worry about selling books. Also do not quit your day job.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be patient and chose you timing carefully.

What are you reading now?
At the moment I am reading Huckleberry Finn.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I hope to publish another book in the upcoming months.

What is your favorite book of all time?
I don't have a favorite book.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I've written and self-published four novels to this point — including the just-released urban fantasy NOTNA. I'm also the author of the Jill Andersen mystery/superhero/sci-fi series (BOUNTY, BLOOD TIES, and BEHIND THE BADGE); much of my work is inspired my comic books and genre fiction as a whole. I'm currently working on the next two books in the Jill Andersen series, BEHIND THE MASK and BETRAYED, as well as several other unrelated projects.

Outside of being an author, I work in media relations for a Div. I college athletics conference, I'm a freelance editor, and I'm a huge auto racing fan. Next to writing, motorsports are my biggest passion in life (it's actually sort of surprising that I haven't yet written a story about racing). NASCAR is my vehicular poison of choice, but I'll watch just about any form of racing that involves a motor.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I released NOTNA — my first foray into the world of urban fantasy and the supernatural — on Oct. 10. It's a story I've had in my head, in one form or another, since I was in middle school, and it's amazing to see how much the story grew as I did. NOTNA is far different now than when I first thought of it, and I'm proud of the story I wrote.

The same comic book lore that inspired BOUNTY is present here as well, but so are stories like Buff the Vampire Slayer, Witchblade, Battle Chasers… that sort of thing. This is my first attempt at a popechy/holy war/end of the world type of story, and I hope I did the format justice while putting my own unique spin on it.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I know some writers have to have a specific time or environment to write, but I'm capable of writing almost any time, anywhere. This is a by-product of my last job, which had insanely long hours and a lot of time on the road. I learned that if I was going to write novels and publish them while working that job, I had to do away with the notion of writing in "perfect" circumstances.

I also like to listen to music while I write; it's usually something really loud and really heavy. I know some writers prefer something softer (or silence), but I need that jolt of adrenaline.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I grew up on X-Men, Spawn, and Witchblade comic books — which probably explains much of my writing. As I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate prose a lot more, and these days, I read a lot more independently-published authors than anything. R.R. Virdi, E.A. Copen, Madeline Dyer, S.E. Anderson, Cait Ashwood, Jason Luthor… some of the best, most inventive stories I've read have come across my desk since I've become a published author.

What are you working on now?
BEHIND THE MASK and BETRAYED, books four and five in the Jill Andersen series. I'm hoping to have BEHIND THE MASK ready for publication in December, and BETRAYED is going to be the book I write for NaNoWriMo this year.

I also have three solo projects in the works: THE AGENCY (a spy thriller), THE KEEPER (supernatural thriller), and LEGENDS OF THE GEM (a follow-up of sorts to NOTNA; not a true sequel, but it's related).

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Word of mouth. Nothing beats the simple act of one person telling another about a book they enjoyed.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just write. Worry about editing and cover art and publication and promotion when the time is right. None of that stuff matters unless you sit down and you write the story you want to tell. Get in a habit of writing every day. Write whether the mood strikes or not. Just get the words onto the page.

Because you can fix a bad page. You can't fix a blank page.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I believe it was Stephen King who once said something to the effect of "If you don't have time to read, you don't have the time or the tools to be a writer."

Reading and writing go hand-in-hand. You can't be the latter without doing a lot of the former.

What are you reading now?
ORDER OF THE LILY by Cait Ashwood. DIVIDED by Madeline Dyer. STORM FRONT by Jim Butcher. Greg Rucka's WONDER WOMAN.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully a lot more books.

Hopefully a lot more sales.

What is your favorite book of all time?
The X-Men comics from the 1990s… because they were what lit the spark. Those were the first stories I read where I came away thinking I could tell stories too.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I'm 21 years old guy from India. I grew up in Sri Anandpur Sahib, Punjab. I'm studying Food Science & Technology (Hons.) right now. I'm also having advanced diploma in Communication skills. I have only written one book yet named Secrets As Legacy. I like writing mystery thrillers. Apart from books, I love writing songs. My passion for writing rose when I wrote my first song. I'm also the founder and editor in chief of B Louder Magazine, a digital magazine focusing on photography, literary, lifestyle, fitness, health, art, fashion and home improvement.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Secrets As Legacy – Tale of the Mysterious Heart is my first book. It is loosely based on my experiences growing up in a small town and on my college life. This is the first book in the series.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, I don’t have any unusual writing habits but I usually work on books at night. It's not unusual, right?

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Sara Shepard’s The Lying Game Series, The Last Song by Nicolas Sparks, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and many more.

What are you working on now?
I'm working on the sequel of my first book Secrets As Legacy – Tale of the Mysterious Heart.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote my book by throwing book launch party, on my Facebook page, website, Instagram and twitter.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Trust yourself. Don’t get panic about the whole process. It's really simple. Don’t wait for inspiration to come to you. Don’t write a story because you think it might be a bestseller. Start a list of all your crazy obsessions, the things that wake you up in the middle of the night and write about it. Just believe that you can do it and always scream out loud.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Someone told me to always listen to your heart and do one thing unusual everyday.

What are you reading now?
I’m reading Rebecca Serle’s Famous in Love.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I'm working on the sequel of my first book Secrets As Legacy – Tale of the Mysterious Heart.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have been writing since I was twelve years old. Poetry and short stories mostely. Then I wrote a novel, "The Threshold," a book about who we are and why we believe the things we do. It's a spiritual book. After that I wrote, "What Word Defines You?" A self-help book.

Then my sisters said I should write suspense novels because I was good at re-telling a movie with a great deal of description.

So, I did and I have to say I've found my niche. I began "Deadly Desires" thinking it would be one book, but it then became a trilogy and now a series. They are Conspiracey/Romance/Suspense novels.
The 1st book that was actually published (not just self-published). "Time Release". Then "The Catwalk," and "The Decision' were published as well. It was a very exciting feeling.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book was the 3rd of the Deadly Desires series. And I'd have to say the 1st two books inspired me. I needed to know what was going to happen next. And, "The Decision" came to be.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don't do any sort of preparation. I usually sit down at the computer and I begin typing. As long as I am in the right place in my mind, the story flows. It's like I'm watching a movie in my head and I'm not sure myself what's going to happen next. It even keep me on the edge of my seat.
The imagination is a wonderful thing.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Ray Bradbury, Mitch Albom, J.K. Rowling, Dan Brown and John Grisham.

What are you working on now?
The 4th book of the "Deadly Desires" series.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I don't really have the answer to that. It's word of mouth and social media.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing. Write to keep yourself happy and others will follow.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Do what you are most passionate about.

What are you reading now?
I just finished a John Grisham book.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Writing my next book.

What is your favorite book of all time?
I really couldn't pick one. I love suspense and romance.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a serious coffee drinker from Seattle (I know, I know) who enjoys writing dirty stories that are a healthy mix of would have done, should have done, and don't want to admit I have done.

I have written 7 books so far: all erotica short stories.
6 are available for Kindle and one can only be obtained for free by signing up for my very chill and unobtrusive mailing list at my website.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
GOOD FRIEND Volume 6: Anniversary Gift.

It's about a woman who gives her husband the gift of a three-way with her college roommate for their anniversary.

I'll plead the fifth on the inspiration…

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to put on nothing but a pair of black socks and a black stocking cap and pretend the rest of me is the blank space between the lines…

No, seriously though, the rest of the time it's usually just me with my headphones in at a table in a coffee house surrounded by random people who have no idea what deviancy is playing out in my head.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Anne Rice was a big deal for the younger, gothy-er version of me.

These days I still read Anne Rice, but I have also very much enjoyed THE ROOK by Daniel O'Malley, the PASSAGE trilogy from Justine Cronin, and LEXICON from Max Barry.
That said, every one of those books could have done with some dirtier bits. Sleaze it up a little please gentlemen!

What are you working on now?
I am toying with a story about a secret society of spies and killers told from a rogue female sex assassin’s point of view. The little work I’ve done on it has all the sex with an extra heaping of violence, so I guess it will be a dark erotic romance/action story.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Twitter a lot. Hopefully this site will work wonders as well!

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write every day. Set a word-count goal and make sure you hit it.

Seek good feedback on your writing. Be wary of praise and hungry for honest criticism.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Always act like it might be too big and you’re a little frightened of it.

What are you reading now?
WOOL by Hugh Howey. All those people trapped underground together? I’m guessing it gets pretty dirty. No spoilers please…

What’s next for you as a writer?
More writing. Every day. If my assassin story works out I want to write a trilogy with one of the characters.

What is your favorite book of all time?
This is probably a weird answer but I have to say TELEGRAPH DAYS by Larry McMurtry, if only because I've never quite seen myself quite so strongly in a character the way I do in Nellie.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived there we moved to Japan when I was 8. When we came back to the States, we moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I graduated from Camelback High School and went on to Arizona State University. However, I dropped out in the second semester and joined the U.S. Navy. After 3 years, I was honorably discharged, got married and went back to college. This time I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA. I went back in the Navy as a commissioned officer and retired with 22 years of service. While in service, I earned another degree, an MMAS, Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College. After my retirement, my husband and I spent a few years living in our motorhome, crisscrossing the country until he passed away. I went back to work as a federal civil servant in the Department of Homeland Security. I retired once more to devote my time to writing. I’ve published seven books in two series. The first series is called “The Seaward Isle Saga” and includes “The Black Elf of Seaward Isle,” “Tangled Omens,” and “Blood Mission” as well as a short story, “The Island Game: The Inside Story of Seaward Isle.” The second series, “The Chronicles of Eledon,” includes four books, “Spell Breaker” (2016 Book Excellence Award finalist), “The Blue Witch” (2017 International Book Award finalist), “Gossamer,” and “Noble Magic.”

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
"Noble Magic." It's the fourth book in "The Chronicles of Eledon" series, bringing it to a conclusion. All of my books were inspired by "Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien as well as the movie version directed by Peter Jackson.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
It has to be completely silent so I can be alone with my imagination.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I belong to the Writers' League of Texas and I've attended a number of their classes and seminars. Even though I no longer live in the area, I can attend classes online. So far as authors, I like Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Suzanne Collins, James Rollins, and Tom Clancy. I recently found a new author by the name of Jay Posey and his book, "Sungrazer," a new favorite.

What are you working on now?
I'm working on the first book of my next series. The working title is "Curse of the Sea."

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I've scheduled a virtual book tour in November for "Noble Magic" with Enchanted Book Promotions.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
You need a good editor to improve your writing.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
My mom told me in a dream that writing is like pushing an airplane. It's hard to push, but once it gets rolling, it'll take off. Yes, I believe in dreams.

What are you reading now?
"Escape Clause" by John Sandford. It's a mystery.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Two of my short stories will be published in an anthology by the Tucson Science Fiction/Fantasy Writers Group in the next few months. The titles are "One Way Journey" and the other is "The Bonds of Earth."

What is your favorite book of all time?
I can't answer this question because I don't have one. I like a lot of books, but there isn't one that transcends all the rest.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I'm from San Jose, California. I've lived abroad and have one award-winning novel and 19 juvenile books–most with characters of color.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Bridge of the Golden Wood: A Parable on How to Earn a Living – written to address a lack of curriculum on how money is made. The State of Vermont is using it for its primary school financial literacy lessons.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I get ideas at night and scribble them on scraps of paper. In the morning, there are scraps of paper all over!

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love history, so anything by David McCoullugh is ideal. Other authors I love: Tolkien, Harper Lee, C.S. Lewis, Clancy, Grisham, Shel Silverstein

What are you working on now?
More bilingual books, a non-fiction series on immigrant children, and a graphic novel (I hope!).

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Bookbub got me 10,000 downloads in a day. Love it!

Do you have any advice for new authors?
If you're not ambushed by ideas, you are probably not a writer.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be wise, what more can I say?

What are you reading now?
Major Problems in American Colonial History by Karen Kupperman (yeah, I'm a nerd).

What’s next for you as a writer?
An audio book

What is your favorite book of all time?
The scriptures

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I've been a writer for over 45 years now and have had 26 novels and 12 short stories published since 1984. I write horror/romantic time-travel, suspense, romance, thrillers and murder mysteries. My horror novel The Last Vampire and my thriller Dinosaur Lake (360 Reviews; 4.1 star average) were both EPIC EBOOK AWARDS *Finalists* in 2012 and 2014. My Spookie Town Murder Mysteries and my Dinosaur Lake series are my best sellers. Kathryn Meyer Griffith rdgriff@htc.net http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B001KHIXNS

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest published novel is Witches II: Apocalypse. It's my 26th published book and it has a strange story. My original Witches was my fifth published novel way back in 1993 and was a mass market Zebra paperback. It took me 24 years to finally write and publish this sequel. Well, I was busy writing 21 other novels. I actually began writing this sequel about 11 years ago (got about 1/3 done) and decided not to give it to my at-the-time legacy publisher. I was sick of getting 6% royalties. Last year I found the partial manuscript and thought, now that I self-publish, I'll finish it. And so I did. Besides publishing the sequel as a stand alone book, I also packaged the first Witches with the second one for a double book.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. I've been writing now for over 45 years and began writing on an electric typewriter…I like laptops much better. I do like to sit on my comfy sofa, laptop in my lap, with the TV down low and a cup of coffee beside me when I write.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King, Ann Rice, Dean Koontz, Rod Sterling and Ray Bradbury.

What are you working on now?
In between books because I JUST finished Witches II: Apocalypse. I'm thinking of writing a 4th Spookie Town Murder Mystery, though. Hmmm, searching for the plot now.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I post my free books (I always have a few free for promotion) on all the FREE sites I can. Also Facebook and I twitter a lot.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
If you're truly a writer it will come as second nature and you'll fight through all the troubles that will come your way. You'll never give up and you'll be happy on the journey alone; not just want fame and fortune (believe me, those are both often elusive- after 45 years of writing, and all the ups and downs of the publishing world and life, I should know). You'll be content when you're writing and whatever comes from it will be fine.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Never give up…persistence is often the key and…a writer WRITES.

What are you reading now?
My brother Jonathan G. Meyer's SF 4th novel Vincent. (Yes, my younger brother is also a writer…more of a SF writer than I am. I have always written more paranormal, horror, time-travel and murder mysteries. And he started publishing late in life three years ago, at 60 years old.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I'm not really sure…after 45 years writing, 26 novels and 12 short stories published since 1984, and all I've gone through, at my age, time and life has become so precious. I want to have more fun now (with my retired husband, Russell), travel and be with my family and friends. So maybe I will write a 27th novel…maybe.

What is your favorite book of all time?
The Door Into Summer by Ray Bradbury. I cried when the cat was left behind in time in the alley. (I was really young but it made me realize the power of a writer and the written word.)

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m originally from Europe. I grew up in Northern Italy and in my early teens, I moved to Germany. I moved to the US in my late twenties and it has been the greatest decision and change in my life. I enrolled at The Art Institute of California-San Diego where I studied animation. For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to work for the greatest studios in Hollywood, but as time progressed and the more I studied characters and story development, I fell in love with the writing process. Later I enrolled at National University and graduated with a Master in Creative Writing.
WoodWings is my first tween book. I have written other books (Young Adult), but this is the first book that I have decided to publish and throw myself into the mix with many other authors.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is WoodWings and this story has been with me since childhood. The story has been inspired by many great books I’ve read during my life such as Savvy by Indrid Law, Mo and Dale Mystery by Sheila Turnage, and Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Anime and Comics like Naruto, Dragon Ball, and the X-Men have influenced the progression of my story. And yes, even reality TV shows like Haunted Collector, Ghost Adventure and The Dead Files.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, not really. I just sit in front of the TV with my faithful and very adorable cat sitting in a chair next to me. On the other side, I have this big window facing the woods of North Eastern Pennsylvania. Once in a while, I lift my head away from the laptop and pet my cat’s belly, or give him a lot of kisses (he’s so adorable), or look out the window and admire the nature. Early mornings, I witness deer or turkeys cross through my back yard.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King and Edgar Ellen Poe. I love Stephen King’s story and the depth of his character development. I love Edgar Allan Poe’s darkness and breathtaking stories.

What are you working on now?
On the sequel of WoodWings.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use the Website a lot and promoting a book can be very expensive. One site I use daily is the Fivver.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
To not give up. Keep reading all kinds of books and genres (the good and the bad) and write something every day.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To find ten minutes a day to write. It can be anything, even a funny story about grocery shopping. I was told that the brain is a muscle that needs to be kept sharp, and just like artists who need to draw or sketch every day for an hour to keep their hand and talent trained, so do writers.

What are you reading now?
The Misadventures of Edgar & Allan Poe by Gordon McAlpine.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Promoting my book, WoodWings – Chapter One.

What is your favorite book of all time?
Holes by Louis Sachar. I love the plot and the twist and turns in the story, including the ending, in which Louis Sachar combined all these different characters and stories into one single plot.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
What do you say when asked this question? How can we sum ourselves up to sound interesting in this little space? I've been living for a few decades here, on earth. Most of my experiences have probably been not unlike yours really. I love, enjoy, have lived through hell, come back from hell, I've sorrowed, laughed till I cried, get the jitters sometimes and I do have a tendency to over-indulge. Can't help this, I appreciate the physical experiences! Now I am a writer drawing from all this and more. My debut novel, Millie's Angel snagged a gold award in the 2017 Dan Poynter's Global eBook Awards. I was pretty chuffed about that 🙂 I've also released a novelette (which you can pick up for free when you sign up to my newsletter) and just about to release my second novel, Angels & Vixens; its a cracker of a book! 😉

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Angels & Vixens; an urban fantasy thriller with a side of romance.
This book picks up the characters born from Millie's Angel, only their powers have developed and thrived, along with the intensity of their hatred, vengeance, love and clarity. It's an edge-of-your-seat read.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I like to write with the ocean.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
I used to binge read Virginia Andrews (god she's intense), Jackie Collins, Danielle Steel, Dan Brown, Bryce Courtney, Harold Robbins, Sally Beauman, John Grisham, Ann Rice … I could go on.
I don't know that these authors have influenced my own writing, but I admire each and every one of them.

What are you working on now?
A dark urban fantasy romance thriller. I should be working on this right now actually … (kids are at school) 😉

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Building an audience and mailing list is paramount, finding and connecting with the people who enjoy my genre is a process I am still tackling, and I enjoy every minute of it.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Read the above paragraph, and read Chris Fox. He offers great practical advice without the BS. Read up and research your craft … knowledge is what you want, and your imagination will take you where you want to be.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world – Albert Einstein

What are you reading now?
Did I mention Chris Fox? Six Figure Author.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an award winning playwright and screenwriter. Among my favorite projects are a play and documentary about Cahuilla elder Katherine Siva Saubel entitled We Are Still Here and the one-act play Windstorm for which I interviewed Dr. Elisabeth Kubler Ross. My novels include The Women Debrowska that is loosely based on my own Polish ancestry; Ouray’s Peak which follows the story of one matriarchal Ute Indian lineage, and the metaphysical mystery series Stone Quest that includes Desert Chimera, Gallows Ascending, and Neuri Shape-Shifter. Several of my theatrical monologues have been published by Meriwether Publishing, Gerald Lee Ratliff, editor; and my latest novel, Western Song. Just released is "The Season of the Neuri Knight" a story included in Realms of Fantastic Stories Volume 2 published by Solstice Publishing, and is a continuation of the Stone Quest series, and just completed is "My Soul to Take," a YA Horror novella.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest novel, Western Song published by Solstice Publishing, is a timeless love story filled with rich unique characters played out beneath the wide Wyoming sky about a bull riding rancher and his recently deceased best buddy’s Thai immigrant mail order bride. As she learns the true power of freedom, he discovers he’s lost his heart. The book was inspired the time I spent in the Colorado Mountains when I was in my early twenties. I fell in love with the majestic "Shining Mountains," as the Ute Indians called them; they live in my hearts. Though I set the novel in Wyoming, the inspiration was the Rocky Mountains.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I listen to my characters. If I don't, they let me know it.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
John Steinbeck was an early influence (East of Eden) as was Joyce Carol Oates (Bellefleur). Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid's Tale, The Blind Assassin) is one of my favorite authors, I have always been a voracious reader and spent my childhood with writers such as Mark Twain, Huck Finn is one of my favorite characters; Daphne du Maurier; I have lost count of how many times I've read Rebecca; Margaret Mitchell–who can ever forget Rhett and Scarlett– not to mention turnips; Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Ursula K Le Guin, Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird, and Barbara Kingsolver–to name but a few.

What are you working on now?
I am about to begin work on the fourth boo in my Stone Quest series: Redemption: The Long Journey Home.

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Promotion of my books is a long, varied, and complicated process. I have no best method; I use a variety of practices including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Book Bloggers, various advertising on the Internet via Fiverr. Reviews are very important so I pursue reviewers.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write, Don't ever give up. Write, Then write some more. Build your Internet presence. Attempt to get local exposure via signings at bookstores or libraries.

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Never give up.

What are you reading now?
Bluegrass Conspiracy by Sally Denton and The Patron Saint of Liars by Ann Patchet

What’s next for you as a writer?
Making a box set of my STONE QUEST series. Writing the fourth book for the series.

What is your favorite book of all time?
That is a very hard question. GONE WITH THE WIND is certainly up there contending with HUCKLEBERRY FINN and EAST OF EDEN. Also very close: THE POISONWOOD BIBLE by Kingsolver.
Impossible question.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Melanie Hamilton, I am from a small town and I live on a horse farm, Hamilton Stables. I am about to get married on the 14th of October to the love of my life, who is in the NAVY. I enjoy the medieval period, which explains the style my characters wear in my series. I enjoy action, adventure, romance, and fantasy. I have written three books. The first one is published, the second is being edited and the third is nearly finished.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The latest book is the third series of Shift. What inspired the Shift series was a question; If you could be anything, what would you want to be? Well I could not choose. I wanted to be a Pegasus, a mermaid, and a wolf. So in my books I get to be all three.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
While I am outside working I will listen to my Pandora Internet Radio station 'game of thrones' which plays several instrumental songs that really gets my brain pumping and flowing. I will think about what to write next and at the end of the day I will go in, and begin typing it as if it is being played in my head.

What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephanie Meyer, the Twilight Series and her book, The Host. J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter. The Divergent Series. The Hunger Games. Nicolas Sparks. Game Of Thrones.

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on the third book of my series, I am nearly done!!

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up on a dream you believe in, it is your baby, protect it. Keep writing, write daily, and grow daily.

Never give up on a dream you believe in.

Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a down-to-earth, friendly, kind-hearted Christian man who enjoys life. My interests include writing, reading, singing, traveling, keeping fit, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and encouraging others. I possess an adventurous spirit; the art of discovering is exciting to me. I am a dreamer who likes tropical getaways: the warmth of the sun, palm trees, seagulls, beaches, and the ocean breeze. To date, I have written one book.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is U Turn, God Turns and God inspired it. It was birthed during a two-year season of unemployment when I was unaware that a book existed inside of me. I moved by faith from Texas to Maryland and could have written a book on the Maryland experiences alone; however, God instructed me to reach back and write about my entire journey.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I cannot say that I possess any unusual writing habits. What I can say is that I do not write everyday as many suggest. My mind gets filled with thoughts and ideas at different times, from different experiences and when it’s time for me to write, I am able to recall every nuance of my senses, thoughts, feelings, places, and things, from those experiences and everything comes out very smoothly!

What authors, or books have influenced you?
The Bible / The Tongue & End Time Events – Charles Capps / Transform Your Thinking – Dr. Bill Winston / World War Me – Dr. Jamal Bryant / William Shakespeare / Dr. Mike Murdock

What are you working on now?
I am currently working on seven books simultaneously so stay tuned for great things to come!

What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Believe me, I’ve tried many different methods to promote my book. It’s been quite a journey to find what really works best for me. On my promotion journey, I discovered Mike Balmaceda and his team, who really operate in excellence, integrity, education for their clients, and great customer service. They are also very results driven. This team helped work my first book, U Turn, God Turns, to Amazon Kindle Best-Seller status! It reached #1 in the Spiritual Growth category; Top 5 in Miracles; Top 10 in both Men’s Inspirational and Men’s Personal Growth; Top 30 in both Memoirs and Motivational! Excited about this victory and excited about being an Amazon Best-Selling Author with my very first book!

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Yes! My advice to authors is to be persistent, consistent, and patient in achieving your goals. You want the best for your books and want them to be successful overnight; however, prepare yourself if this does not occur. Remember that delay does not equate to denial. Be wise, educate and expose yourself to good information pertaining to “everything book related”. Listening to webinars is free. You can get access to great information. You only need to invest in the ones that are right for you and that you will actually work. Although the information can be overwhelming at times, stay focused with a budget plan and one or two promotion avenues. This will help you to continue to maintain your regular expenses, keep your sanity, and measure results. Beware of predators; they are everywhere! If you should experience dealing with a predator (I did), just know that trials come to make you stronger. Be professional, stand your ground, don’t be afraid to ask questions, make a checklist of what is promised, document everything, and allow the allotted time for the promises to be fulfilled. If the person or company fails to deliver, use your writing skills to reach out to the top person and ask for what you want. I followed the same advice I’m presenting to you and was able to get a full refund because a company failed to deliver more than half of what they promised!

What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever heard is to keep the faith in God and whatever you get into your mind, no one can take it away from you.

What are you reading now?
Now, I am reading The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love by Devon Franklin and Meagan Good. So far, it’s a great read. Very honest, straightforward, inspiring and full of value!

What’s next for you as a writer?
Next for me is continuing to increase exposure for my current book with plans to have the audiobook version available in the 4th quarter of 2017. I would absolutely love for my book to be transformed into a movie. So many can benefit from this journey. I will continue to develop the seven books I mentioned earlier. My focus will also be on proofreading and editing for other authors. I am gifted in this area. This comes quite naturally to me thanks to an exceptional English teacher I encountered on my journey. I successfully wrote, arranged, and edited my own book! I have done this type of work for a few people and I’m looking to expand my horizons. I see published e-books all the time with errors so I know there is a market for both published and unpublished works that need to be polished to error-free. I just want to help people present the best product possible because we never know whose eyes will read our books. It could be someone or a company who could help change the direction of our lives forever!

What is your favorite book of all time?
My favorite book of all time is The Bible! I love this book because it is God’s Holy Word delivered through writers that He inspired! This book is life. It is Good News. It makes you feel. Everything about life can be found in these scriptures. It’s as relevant now as it was when it was first written; a timeless, life-changing, divine, masterpiece!
