Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m from Norfolk, in the east of England, and have currently got one full length book for sale, with another due out before the end of 2018.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called ‘Blind Justice’, and is about a man wrongfully imprisoned for murder. The inspiration behind it is in fact insomnia! That’s not a subject in the book, but I couldn’t sleep one night and ended up spending the night plotting the outline of the book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write primarily on an iPad using a Mac keyboard. Scrivener is my weapon of choice software wise – it’s an amazing piece of software.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Peter James and Michael Connolly are my favourite authors, closely followed by Lee Child. Of the three, Peter James has influenced me most as a fellow Brit.
What are you working on now?
My current work in progress is a dark comedy, tentatively called ‘Meat’. It’s very different to ‘Blind Justice’, but is such a good story that I have to write it!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Twitter a lot, but not really for promotion. Amazon is my main platform for promotion at the moment.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t give up!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Every single best selling author in the world was once a complete unknown.
What are you reading now?
I’m in the middle of ‘A Game Of Ghosts’ by John Connolly. It’s excellent.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Publishing ‘Meat’, and then a sequel to one of my books – I’m not sure which one yet though.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Aliens. The book, not the film. It’s the last book I read in a single setting.
