Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
This is my first published book, however have started the manuscript for another piece of work.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My current book "Of Lite and Darke" was inspired partly by watching "The 100" and partly by listening to my tell me about different kinds of Fey or fairy tail creatures.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My writing habits are really simple. I sit at the computer and look at the blank screen. My eyes close for just a moment as I imagine the scene that I am about to write. Then I just type until either I complete a whole chapter or until I can no longer keep my eyes open.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I really enjoy the works from Anne Bishop, Kierra Cass, Catherine Asaro, Renee Ahdieh as well as many others. I have a very broad spectrum when comes to what I read. One day I could read something from Jessica day George and the next from Philippa Gregory. It really depends on my mood for that day.
What are you working on now?
Currently I am working on the prequel to "Of Lite and Darke". Also I am revising my very first manuscript as I am toying with the idea of also publishing that as well.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have promote my books on every available website that I come across. From several book groups that are connected to Facebook, to good reads just to name a few. I have the philosophy that you can not have too much exposure.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don't take no for an answer. You may have to get twenty rejection letters before you get a yes. But with each rejection you learn why and are able to fix your works until it is perfect.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don't give up. If you are passionate about something then keep at it.
What are you reading now?
I just finished reading Renee Ahdieh's "The Rose and the Dagger." Right now I haven't started another book as I really don't like to read while I'm working on something.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I really couldn't say. I'm always creating new stories so I'll just have to see what comes next.
What is your favorite book of all time?
My favorite book? A hard one for me to choose. But if I had to I woudls say the Black Jewels books by Anne Bishop.
