Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I'm an Ojibway from Northwestern Ontario and have a great love for my culture, so I naturally right romance starring the Indigenous People of Canada. I golf, walk, read, garden, and love to be outdoors. Blessed is my first book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Blessed. An Elton John song inspired the title. Book titles always come from songs.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I exercise every day. During my cardio workout, I make a playlist specifically for the couple I'm writing about and daydream to their soundtrack while I vroom vroom on the elliptical, stationary bike, and stair climber.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I adore Rosanne Bittner, Vella Munn, Beverly Bird, Johanna Lindsey, and Sue Harrison.
What are you working on now?
The second book in the Matawapit Family trilogy. They are a Catholic Ojibway family headed by a domineering church deacon. Each adult child has their faith tested by a former ex-lover, an ex-fiance out on parole, and a seductive family enemy.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I'm new to this so I'm still checking out promotion.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
It takes work to make a dream come true.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Just write. A book doesn't write itself.
What are you reading now?
Captive Spirit by Liz Fichera
What’s next for you as a writer?
Keep on writing and keep submitting books to my publisher.
What is your favorite book of all time?
That's an impossible question to answer. I love books. I always say I'm a reader first and a writer second.
