Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have always dreamed of being an aspiring author. I am making my dreams come true, one word at a time. When I am not writing, I am spending time with my family. I love reading books on lazy afternoons, and late into the night. Anytime really. Married 28 years to the love of my life and we have three wonderful children and two sweet grandbabies. Besides writing, I have always wanted to travel. In the last few years we have gotten our passport stamped in England and Scotland. We are hoping to add Italy to the list soon. My debut novel is Rescued By the Captain.
I have written three books:
Rescued By the Captain
Rescued By the Spy
Rescued By the Scot
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Rescued By the Scot is my newest release. The other two books in my series inspired me to give Zane Maxwell the hero is own story and for the readers to understand his actions throughout the other two books. He was one not to be trusted and in Rescued By the Scot, I explain why he did what he did.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No, not really. Kinda boring. I do like to eat a lot of candy when I'm writing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Kathleen E. Woodwiss was my favorite romance author growing up. I would read all her books.
What are you working on now?
My next project is a love experiment gone wrong. My heroine started out doing research, but will soon fall in love with one of her subjects.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I'm still fairly new in this game, so I try everything at least once to see how it works for me. I still haven't pin pointed it down to any exact thing yet. For now, I would have to say my website.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Listen to the advice, but weight and measure if it works for you. In the end, write for yourself. You can not please everybody, so don't let others take away what you love to do the most.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I guess the same advice I'm passing on. I read an interview on another writer. She said that she only writes for herself and nobody else. That at the end of the day if she was happy with what she wrote,it was enough for her.
What are you reading now?
Holds my head down in shame. Nothing at the moment. I have been so focused on my writing this year, I have not read much. Something I need to get back to. I miss reading.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To keep on writing stories that I enjoy to write. I like to write what makes me laugh, smile, or feel complete.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Flame and the Flower.
