Author Bio:
The author grew up listening to her grandparents and their friends relate their frightening refugee trek from Russian Ukraine to Canada during the Russian Revolution. In 2014, she traveled to Poland and the Ukraine to research her ancestral heritage. There she realized the importance of this tragic story once hidden behind the Iron Curtain. She yearned to share this hidden history with the world. This series is a fictional re-telling of what could be her ancestors’ story.
When she isn’t writing, MJ is reading, watching true story movies, or traveling to interesting historical destinations. She also enjoys cultural cuisine and rock collecting. She lives in Niagara, Canada.
