Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi, I am author Elle Marlow.
I am an Arizona native and mom of five kids and a whole slew of grandkids. I have written 14 titles and all are available on Amazon.
I love the west, and to me, the west and romance go hand in hand. Living in Southern Arizona, I don't have to travel far to find beautiful locations and interesting people to write about.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Black Raven, White Dove
is a romance-Christian inspired.
It's a pirate romance, which was new for this ol' cowgirl, but I had a lot of fun researching it and writing outside my comfort zone.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I sit on the couch and get clobbered by my cat. I honestly don't know how anything gets done.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Jean Auel, Janet Evanovich and Erma Bombeck.
What are you working on now?
Horses from Heaven,
a novella about a widow who seeks asylum for herself, her daughter and the wild horse that killed her husband, at a place called Heaven Ranch. There, she meets ex bullrider Charlie Walters. He not only knows how to tame a wild horse, he soothes her broken heart.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Twitter and Faceboook
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don't give up. I have my good days and bad days where I think, "What the heck am I doing?" but yet, everyday, I do something to write or promote or read up on the latest trends. It's only over when you give up, even if I have to remind myself of these things daily.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Be patient. LOL.. yep, I'm not real patient…I'm still trying to master that.
What are you reading now?
Nothing right now. I'm busy, but I'd like to read a Nicholas Sparks novel as soon as I can.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Gaining a contract with the big six or finding a great agent.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Valley of the Horses by Jean Auel
