Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I'm British. I married a Seychellois lady in 2010 and emigrated to Seychelles in 2012 and run a wine business here. It's an amazing country with lots more to offer than the beautiful beaches. An Island Paradise is my first book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
An Island Paradise. It's set in Seychelles, my home for the past five years. Not many people know much about the country so I thought it would be a great opportunity to let more people know about it and to try my hand at writing at the same time.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I use far too many adverbs and then cull them mercilessly in the editing process (apart from 'mercilessly').
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stieg Larsson's mercurial Millenium trilogy.
What are you working on now?
Marketing 'An Island Paradise'!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I'd say your site is pretty good. Twitter and Facebook are also effective.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Go for it. Don't let potential failure stop you from giving it your best shot.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Read, read, read. Write, write, write.
What are you reading now?
The Princess Bride by William Goldman
What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully writing more books.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
