Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Discovering Love Online: Love May Be Closer Than You Think is my first book, but I have a diverse career background and nearly four decades of experience as a journalist, editor, publisher and graphic artist writing for over 20 online and print publications. I’ve also created several websites including Propeller Cap, LLC (https://propellercap.com/), my indie publishing house, and the book’s companion website, Discovering Love Online (https://discoveringloveonline.com/).
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The aforementioned Discovering Love Online: Love May Be Closer Than You Think is my “latest” and only book thus far. It was inspired by my own recent success in online dating.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, but I often fight with the editor within when I’m trying to move my writing along and not get bogged down with exact phrasing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The Bible and the works of Mark Twain, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jean Sheppard, Zig Zigler, Bob Buford, Max Lucado and Andy Stanley are among my favorites.
What are you working on now?
The paperback version of Discovering Love Online: Love May Be Closer Than You Think and a companion workbook.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
KDP Select on Amazon along with Facebook and Instagram. But, I’ll be expanding those channels over the coming months.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Now’s the best time to get started in self-publishing.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write and keep on writing.
What are you reading now?
On Writing by Stephen King.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Probably another couple books in the online dating field and possibly some children’s books (I wrote one about 10 years ago, but never published it). However, I’ve been active in photography since I was a teen and may try my hand in that market, too.
What is your favorite book of all time?
