I've lived half my life in Alaska and I don't plan to leave.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?:
I was born in New Orleans but we moved a lot after I turned twelve. I've been a lot of places all over the US.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write best in the very early morning, around 3 am.

Take a chance, try something new if the chances are good you'll live through it.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
"You can do anything you want to do. Since you aren't as strong as a man you might need to find a way around that." Dad
What are you reading now?
On a 1800s mystery kick.
What’s your biggest weakness?
Taking on too much.
What is your favorite book of all time?
So hard. But Crystal Singer has stuck with me through the years.
When you’re not writing, how do you like to spend your time?
Cooking, canning, trying new recipes.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The Sunday funnies and Lil Abner.
What has inspired you and your writing style?
The way people live, work and act here in Alaska.
What are you working on now?
Two books, Woman Inside, a contemporary romance and The Hostage King, a sci/fi fantasy.
What is your favorite method for promoting your work?
Social media.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Just finished a romantic suspense and it may become a three book series.
How well do you work under pressure?
No problem.
How do you decide what tone to use with a particular piece of writing?
I listen to the characters. Pure pantser here.
