Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Prior to becoming a temptress of the mind, I spent twelve years in the dark underbelly of corporate America, a slave to the system. I currently live in Los Angeles where I cook gourmet meals, flirt with my friends, and coax my vegetable garden into blooming. I have written one trilogy, and three novelettes.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Sisters in Sin is my most recent book about two sister missionaries who fall in love on their mission. I was raised a devout Mormon and I wanted to write about something I knew. The sisters are young and lonely, and misunderstood, and I think everyone had been there before.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not sure if this is unusual, but I like to sit and wrote for eight or ten hours and knock out an entire novelette. Once I get in my zone, I don't stop.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I was an avid reader from a very young age. The first book that ever blew my mine was A Wrinkle In Time. From there I devoured every classic, dystopian/utopian fiction, and fantasy novel available.
What are you working on now?
I am dipping into science fiction, and changing my perspective from third to first person – which is its own unique challenge. I'm really excited to be writing in my favorite genre.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I started my promotions in Facebook groups and it definitely got some people to download and review my books. My books were free at the time, so I am still learning how to promote books that aren't free.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don't get in your head. I write the whole novelette or short before I go back and edit it. Don't try and figure out your plot and just let the words flow.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I ever got was to start my own mailing list. It's small but growing, and no matter what, if you have your own mailing list you control your promotion (and you can do list swaps).
What are you reading now?
I'm entranced with past life stories and I recently started reading books by Brian Weiss.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I have a goal of writing 52 books in 52 weeks this year. Five down, 47 to go.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Forever War
