Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am from India and have been writing since very early age. The spark ignited when family struggled with money and in adolescence, with added pressure, it got more intense promoting a dark poetry series till now there have been three poetry collection including Dark Romeo and philopbhia (the hip version).
Moving on to fiction my first book never meant to be was published in 2015. The recent one is the first book of my "Rare girl series" name, Sarah. unlike other series, it does not have one protagonist but with every book there comes a story of unique girl/women whose story is untold.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Sarah rare girl series book 1 is my latest I have been itching to write this series.
Strong female characters has always intrigued me but the mainstream idea of bad ass female character we see is too corporate. though the box office matters but i always felt the need of substance something that can be an amalgam of both hard breaking reality and fantasy. In my journey, i have also met with extraordinary women simple women who's story go untold. They don't have the perfect face or pass the so-called standard but unattainable beauty.
Those women don't come with a makeup on their face. so I wanted a series which completely deviates from that write about the unseen and common women with extraordinary women existing in society.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I can write only in the night or at dawn. I don't know why but my mind seems so much focused and efficient at night. lately, i have training my mind to write articles at daytime but writing fiction still remains a night shift.
Also, i act out my characters to see the reaction from my friends and strangers. because once i had the fantasy that i can become an actor.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
When I was growing up Wordsworth really had an influence. When i read Tintern abbey I was blown away. I tell you that man was a genius that was the main reason why i start writing poetry although i could never achieve that insane level.
But i would confess movies pushed me to the storytelling profession rather than any books. But wuthering heights and to kill a mockingbird was exceptional and really made an impact on me.
What are you working on now?
Right now I am working on the Rare girls series book 2 The prayers of Enna. if the first book was about hope the second one will be about faith.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
