Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born in the Croatian city of Virovitica on the 8th of February, 1995. I finished my school degree of natural sciences and mathematics at the Gymnasium Petar Preradovic in Virovitica. In the year 2013. I started my college degree of computer science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and
Computing (FER) at University of Zagreb. During my teenage years I wrote six book novels and two novels that were first published as online articles on my hometown web portal Virovitica.net. The Harmonious Land of Semi-darkness was my first novel translated to English and it was
published on Amazon in December of 2017.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is Age of Decay. I was inspired by the prophecies about the World's end on the 21th of December, 2012 and thoughts about the possibility that advanced intelligence from another dimension would try to save it with the help of the chosen man who is the last surviver of the human race.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My writing style is often complicated and it's not easy for average readers to fully understand my novels. I often use long sentences, metaphors and philosophical approach in descriptions of characters' emotions, events and things that surround them. My books are never realistic and always have fictional or supernatural elements.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I was under the infuence of fantasy novels like Harry Potter series from J.K.Rowling. My science fiction writing was also influenced by TV series like Doctor Who and Star Trek
What are you working on now?
Right now I'm working on a science fiction novel about the distant future in which a rich minority plans to completely control the rest of the world by reading their minds and even manipulating and changing their opinions, thoughts and feelings. There is a group of brave people who discovers their intentions and tries to prevent them from obtaining an absolute control.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
When it comes to promoting my book, the best method is creating a good reputation of my books and making a lot of people knowing about them through different blog articles, recommendations and reviews. I find that Amazon is the best website where I can promote and sell my books and make people know about my writing.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice to new authors is to start writing as soon as possible once something inspires them to prevent losing useful ideas and thoughts about their future books. It's also important to start writing even if you are not motivated and make yourself finish at least a few pages. That will make you more satisfied with your writing and make you motivated to turn your ideas into books.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever heard is to keep my sentences and my style as simple as possible so that average readers can understand them more easily to avoid my books being too hard to read. Also, I was advised to introduce more concrete descriptions of characters, space and movements in my books and reduce descriptions of emotions and internal reflections.
What are you reading now?
Right now I'm reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
What’s next for you as a writer?
In my next book I'm planning to write about a man who faces an identity theft and many bad consequence in an advanced civilization where humanity is spread through multiple galaxies and tries to travel through time to fix his destiny and find out who is responisible for his troubles.
