Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven’s Door is the first book. I was born and raised in Southern California following bands from town to town. I travel to places off the beaten track. I have explored the back shops of China and the traditions of Turkey. I have eaten my way across Europe and then some. If there is a story to tell I will find it.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven’s Door was inspired by a dream I had that had Jim Morrison. That idea just bloomed into something more. A bit of history and a sprinkling of fantasy.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I love to write in coffee shops and book stores. I need commotion of people around me to get the fingers typing. You will always find headphones in my ear blaring some rock n roll to get the words to form on paper.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Christopher Moore has been an inspiration as to the fantasy realm. He is not afraid to put it out there along with Chuck Palahniuk.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on yet another fantasy work tied into music with a twisted love story.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Am still looking for the best method but I utilize twitter.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Even if someone does not like what you write in the big picture of things it really does not matter. Everyone has their own opinions.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Keep writing and at some point it will hit the mark.
What are you reading now?
What’s next for you as a writer?
I intend to branch out to plays for the theater. It is a lost art.
What is your favorite book of all time?
To Kill a Mocking Bird.
