What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My Daily Meditation Book is my latest book. It was inspired by wanting to write a book with thirty great topics where I could share some wisdom with others that they can use during their morning and evening meditations.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes, sometimes I will write an entire book without stopping, formatting, cover, editing, the works!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I write a good bit of poetry as well as other books: Poe, Carroll, C.S. Lewis, Salinger, Steinbeck, Twain, Joyce, Tolstoy, Fitzgerald, Vonnegut, Kafka, Wordsworth, Dickenson, Angelou, Frost, Blake, and Whitman. All books have influence.
What are you working on now?
I'm writing three different books right now, I'm about 200 pages into my memoir, I'm writing a journal book for people who want to take action to succeed, and one other book that I'm not talking about as of yet.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Hard work every day, putting in the hours on social media, guest blogging, ads, giveaways, it all ads up. Reviews are also very important, joining book clubs, author groups, hanging around like-minded people, taking webinars, always learning something new. Twitter has over 3 million people on it if you know how to use it.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Keep writing and then write some more. Don't pay any attention to the days where self-doubt creeps in because it will! Write at least 30 minutes every day. Spend time with other people in the industry. If you want to get strong you hang around with powerlifters, if you want to be a successful author, spend time with successful authors.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you can see it, you can be it! In other words picture in your mind whatever it is that you want to achieve and then go do it. I won two wold championships and nine national championships in powerlifting using this great advice.
What are you reading now?
Behind the door by A. Gavazzoni
What’s next for you as a writer?
I want to keep writing books until I have 100.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I must say The Holy Bible
