Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Over qualified and underpaid, I’ve read Law at university. qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK and New Zealand and now I’m a humble author of young adult fantasy books.
I am currently in the New Zealand wilds writing book 3 of The Last Sanctuary series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called The Fall of Refuge and my desire to share stories is my primary inspiration and driver.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
My usual routine is to write from 5.30 am, although a new baby has been contriving to scupper my routine. Having family over from the UK and Canada has further eaten into my time, but that’s OK… I do love my family 🙂
What authors, or books have influenced you?
My influences are diverse, but Ken Follett is the main man for me.
What are you working on now?
The Wrath of Winter, just the title send shivers down the spine (**shiver shiver**)
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Word of mouth is always the best promotion. Local schools and the press in my local city of Wanganui have been incredibly supportive. The problem is transporting that fan base worldwide.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
1) read lots
2) write lots
3) seek oodles of feedback
4) believe in yourself
5) never give up

What are you reading now?
Edge of Eternity
What’s next for you as a writer?
Writing – what more can there be?
What is your favorite book of all time?
