Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write contemporary romances with an emphasis on families. So far I’ve written 27 books, which include 2 children’s books that were published years ago. I’ve had 2 books published this year by The Wild Rose Press and another is due out Fall 2015. I like writing about families and everlasting love.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
There’s No Place Like Home is book 2 in the MacQuire Women series and tells the story of life long friends Moira Cleary and Quentin Stapleton. I wanted to explore what happens when you’ve known someone, really since birth, have shared a lifetime of memories while growing up, and then once you maturity is reached, how does that friendship change into something more.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write in an attic over looking the woods, so the my most unusual writing habit is that I write a lot in my bathrobe.

Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up on your dreams. I had my first romance published after I at 54 years old. It’s never too late to live your dream.

Nora Roberts: “Sit your butt down in the chair and write.”
