Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hello! I work full-time in customer support and write in every spare moment I have. To date, I have five books available on Amazon with another one completed and the third book of the Student Bodies series underway!
In my limited free time, I love to be out and about with my camera!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book, In The Shade, is the second book in the Student Bodies series. I had dipped my toes into BDSM during my days as a fan fiction writer. All of those pieces were short. I wanted the chance to write something a bit longer.
One of my dearest writing friends beta read Like The Knight, the first book in this series dealing with a Dominant/submissive relationship. Her first question was will there be a book with Daddy Kink. Moments later, Phillip was chatting away in my ear about his handsome, older history professor.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write longhand when I’m away from my computer with special purple pens which have been discontinued. I’ve started hoarding them because I’m convinced I won’t be able to write with any other pens!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I started reading Stephen King when I was twelve years old. His books still terrify me. I think that’s a mark of a great writer, when characters or a plot line still stick with the reader thirty years later!
Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux proved MM romance could become mainstream with their Cut and Run series! I’m forever grateful to these ladies as well as Ty and Zane!
What are you working on now?
I am about half-way through drafting the third book in the Student Bodies series, Do No Harm. This book features student nurse Ryder Nicholson and his supervisor Doctor Brock Stone. Ryder is a slave and Brock is a Master. As Brock says,”Just because you’re a slave and I’m a Master doesn’t mean we belong together.”
Uh-huh, we’ll just see about that! This book has a tentative publishing date of January 4, 2016.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My favorite way to promote my books is with The Rainbow Shelf. This is a website which only features MM romance. The wonderful people at that site have been very good to me!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just write! Never give up. Don’t let anyone (family and friends included) tell you can’t do it, because you can!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
My best friend once told me I was a writer with a day job, not a customer service rep who writes. Every time I feel like putting down my discontinued purple pen I remember her heartfelt message and get back to my book!
What are you reading now?
Coincidentally enough, I am re-reading Fish and Chips, the third book in the Cut and Run series.
What’s next for you as a writer?
In 2016, I am hoping to publish a three book series called Out Of Time. These books will feature MM, MF, and FF couplings and will involve time travel to a castle in 15th century Ireland. I’m hoping the mixed couplings will bring in readers who will be more interested in the characters’ love stories rather than their genders!
What is your favorite book of all time?
To Kill A Mockingbird. I haven’t and won’t read the “sequel.”
