Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a father of two fine sons. I work now as a factory worker by day. I write as a hobby and also out of a passion for writing that I have always had. I love sports. I am a active runner. I run about everyday and I enter 5K races frequently that support a charity that I can support. I have written 3 books but I have only published one thus far. Very shortly I will be publishing my second book. This book has been so enjoyable to write. It is the exact opposite genre from the first book I published.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest published book is “Murder Seen Through the eyes of a Child”. As a child I watched, wondered and tried to understand the problems our neighbors faced just like the problems the Ferguson family faced in my most recent book. As a adult I was a coal operator who observed and watched the best and the worst of people when it came to the almighty dollar or their property. It was a struggle and a inner and outer battle for the people. I have always wanted to put these accounts and experiences down on the written page that I personally experienced and seen . Now I have.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I am probably the weirdest writer ever. I write, then re-write. I love a instant idea to put down on paper and ponder over it for several days. I then keep asking myself questions over and over on the topic, angle or where I want my character to go. I guess my most unusual habit is going against the norm. I sometimes do things that you are NEVER supposed to do. I will find myself going from first person to third and then second back to first person as I write. I get caught up in the vision of a storyteller around a campfire as I pen my words. Sometimes I am that little boy with his chin laying in both cupped hands as he listens to a grand parent telling a story. A story teller to me is the most intriguing person to listen too.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Early on as a child I believe I read ever Grimm’s fairy tale ever written. As I got older I enjoyed Edgar Allen Poe’s writing not for the dark side of it’s nature but for the inventive mind that he exhibited in his writing. Later on Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert got my eye and attention . Lately I really enjoyed Greg Keyes writing, especially “Interstellar” I enjoyed that book very much.
