Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m a nurse by day in the interesting, never boring field of addiction, and a writer at night and in the wee morning hours. I’m also a coffeeholic, book hoarder, and stalker (in a non scary manner) of favorite authors to get my books signed. I’ve written eight contemporary romance novels, and two paranormal (angel) contemporary novels, but only one is published at this time.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Saving Evangeline is a sexy, modern twist of It’s a Wonderful Life. But I gave it my bad boy angel a potty mouth, a penchant for getting in trouble and a love of cigarettes. Here’s the quick blurb: She’s hell bent on ending her life; he’s heaven sent to save her. But, there’s a catch. God’s rogue angel must complete the task disguised as a priest. A forbidden passion ignites, love unfolds and meddlesome angels from above attempt to intervene. Will Remiel’s love save Evangeline or cause them both to be lost forever?
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I get up at three in the morning to write and I usually have to work around one of my three spoiled cats.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Debra Anastasia and her Seraphim series.
What are you working on now?
A second paranormal, “angel” romance and two other contemporary romances.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I love interacting with other readers and authors on social media, particularly facebook and twitter. Sometimes I blog at www.nanceecain.wordpress.com/
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write every day. Even if it is just a sentence. Even if you know it’s a crappy sentence/paragraph/chapter that will be deleted. Write every day.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t give up. Don’t be afraid.
What are you reading now?
Pucked by Helena Hunting
What’s next for you as a writer?
I hope to have more of my stories published. These crazy characters in my head demand it!
What is your favorite book of all time?
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Atticus will always be my ultimate book hero.
