Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m Marco Marek and i was born in Turin, Italy. I always had a fervid imagination and a passion for fantasy stories, medieval magicians, ancient history, and unexplained mysteries. While i was visiting a castle in Eastern Europe, i had the idea of writing Hyperearth.
Apart from writing, i’m also a painter and i likes digital artwork on Photoshop. The cover of Hyperearth is mine creation. i love traveling when i have some free time.
I’m a photographer and i have taken lots of photos, about my travels and other photos are of glamour modeling.
I have written 3 books, the last is almost finished
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my last book has a woking title “Amstel noir” more ahead i will look for the final name .
I went to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, many years ago and for this new book i thought of it because i liked the canals and the atmosphere of city seems good for my thrilling story.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, i write normally when i have the inspiration, usually on paper, but by now more with PC, i have bought a small tablet but i’m not using it much.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Paulo Coelho and J.K. Rowling the most of authors, The Lord of the Rings for the books
What are you working on now?
I’m working at the thriller “Amstel noir” based on Amsterdam, that’s about a man that after being out of a psychiatric clinic, he discover he is framed in big drugs business .
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Well my best method for now is to promote my book on Twitter, Goodreads, Facebook is a little dead but i try there too.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
i’m new too so i think the best is to improve always and continuosly. Read and learn and keep going on the ideas they have.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To transcribe my notes, put on paper all the ideas and things that you have in mind immediately, so you can have it ready when you need and you will not forget it.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Next means lot of things for me: the next book i have to publish, next step from to be an indipendent, to find a publisher. Next challenge to write another genre over than fantasy.
