I live in New Orleans, LA. I have two sons. Besides reading and writing I love sports, watching my favorite shows and social media.
I’m currently writing The Growing Pains Series-Young Adult. The first book Kendra’s Diaries is published. The second book will be out late summer. The remaining two books in the series will come out in 2016 and early 2017.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The entire Growing Pains Series was inspired by my desire to inspire, encourage, and assist the youth through the process of growing up.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Taking a shower always helps me when I’m stuck in the middle of a chapter/scene. Taking a shower brings clarity. I have no idea why.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
My favorite authors over the years have been Francine Pascal, V.C. Andrews, Mary Higgins Clark, James Patterson and Sidney Sheldon.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently penning the third book in The Growing Pains Series tentatively titled “Decisions”. I’m also just beginning an adult contemporary fiction book.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Social media gives you the opportunity to meet people all over the world. It might not be the best for an instant conversion for sales. But for me it has been the best avenue to develop relationships and connections with potential readers.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Take all the great information you hear and read and use it as a guide; BUT THIS IS YOUR PATH SO FOCUS ON WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
There is no way you can go the rest of your life without making another mistake so don’t be afraid to make them.
What are you reading now?
