Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
My name is Katherine Bogle and I am a writer! I’ve done a few things of note in my short twenty-three years of existence, including (but not limited to); write four full books, finish two years of schooling for Photography, and travel over seas to Ireland, Scotland, England and Cuba!
HAVEN came in 2nd in the World's Best Story contest (2015). I love cats, Youtube, binging Netflix and all types of art. I'm currently working on two new books, and editing a third!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
HAVEN is my first published work, inspired by a dream where I played a young princess with three guard women. In this world, my character, Haven, couldn't die and went at great lengths to escape an insane Queen.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
The most unusual my writing habits get is the amount of time I go between writing sometimes. But like riding a bike, you can never forget the craft!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The author who has influenced me most is Lindsay Buroker, author of the Emperor's Edge series. I can only aspire to create the incredibly detailed worlds she has!
What are you working on now?
I'm working on three books. I'm writing an Adult Steampunk titled THE QUEEN OF THIEVES, the sequel to HAVEN, a YA fantasy called SAVAGES and I'm currently editing an Adult Science Fiction called THE ALDAR DOMINION.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I'm a bit of a newbie author, so I'm still learning the best websites to promote my book. I'm trying a lot of new things, and using a lot of social media, so once I know what works, I'll get back to you!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
WRITE, WRITE and WRITE some more! There is nothing that will improve your skills quite like writing. Reading is equally as important, as is editing. Learn from other writers, get beta readers and critique partners, and make your craft the best it can be.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Never stop writing.
What are you reading now?
I'm currently between books, but the next series I hope to start is the HIS FAIR ASSASSIN trilogy.
What’s next for you as a writer?
More writing, of course! No seriously, there is endless writing to be done, and only so many hours in the day.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Watership Down by Richard Adams
I could not live without this book.
