Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I've bee living in New York for twenty years now. I was an actress and a model. It's been an awesome ride and thought I'd like to morph some of my experiences into fictional stories. I've only written one book so far..
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
40 Single NYC is my current book. This is about being single in NYC when you're 40! It's a different world I find. It was easy to come up with the title since someone said it when they were asking why I was still single. The past year I was asked that question quite frequently and wanted to explore it by writing a fiction based on some conclusions I came to.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I'm learning as I go. But whatever experience I've had comes to mind I try to incorporate it in the story in some way.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Salinger, and Forster. I still always cry reading Room With A View and A Passage to India. And I love The Catcher in the Rye. Oh and Paolo Coelho The Alchemist!
What are you working on now?
Figuring out all this marketing with self-publishing a book. But eventually, I'd like to turn my screenplay into a book.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I'm just trying to get my book ready so wherever there is a platform, I'll jump on it!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
No since I'm a newbie myself.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Malcom Gladwell about knowing how your book should end. I heard him during an ad for his master class. This really helped me, because it was all about how to get to your destination, your ending.
What are you reading now?
The Catcher In The Rye again.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I'd like to turn my screenplay into a book.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Alchemist Paolo Coehlo
