Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I live in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe after moving here over 11 years ago from England. My husband and I live with our two dogs and enjoy a quiet life. Most of the time. My writing career started with fanfiction, then I progressed to short erotica before writing a full novel in Nov, 2014, titled Demon Within. The success of this book encoured me to change it into a series, Fallen Angels Series, which is now complete. I have a few smaller stories available and have just completed and released the first book in a new shifter/werewolf series titled, Blood Ties.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Blood Ties is the first of three books in the Blood Trilogy. It centers around Keagen & Gabriel, who are brought together courtesey of Solgen Laboratories. The ‘man’ scientist is Dr. Keller, who is cruel and basically a bit of a monster. Enjoying inflicting pain on his test subjects in order to create the perfect hybrid. Gabriel is a Lycan, and K 3 4 G E N (as he’s officially titled) is a genetically enhanced human. It’s all fun and games for K 3 4 G E N until he learns he’s about to be retired.
The inspiration for this story came from my role playing days with a good friend. We brought this story to light, and with her permission, I’ve used the characters and the background of them for this series.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Hm… now you’re asking. I don’t think so, although if I suffer from writers block, I will either go and create some digital art, or play a mindless game on a social media site for a few hours to free up my mind. lol
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Sylvia Day and Karen Marie Moning are possibly my favorites.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on the 2nd book in the Blood Trilogy, titled Blood Brothers. I’m only a quarter way in but already working on the cover. I make or paint my own covers.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
This is trixie! From the info on my own website, the biggest referrer is Facebook. I have an author page and some fabulous followers and authors, who share and blog posts.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Make sure you don’t rush into things when releasing your first book. I did…and it wasn’t good. Have your work checked by someone else, if you can afford a professional editor… do it. The first impressions are the greatest.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Get an editor! I’ve never been in a financial situation to afford one until recently, and I’m so pleased I have one now.
What are you reading now?
Nothing. Sorry! I don’t have time to read and I can’t read if I’m writing because once I have the story idea, I am focused and don’t want to be distracted.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I really would like an Amazon Best Seller, although it’s very difficult to receive such an award. I won’t give up just yet. My challenge for 2016 is to complete the Blood Trilogy books and possibly start on another series which I’ve got in my head.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I don’t have one and I know that’s very bad. I can tell you some of the books I’ve read over and over. Karen Marie Monings Highlander books, especially Kiss of the Highlander. J K Rowling Harry Potter the Half-Blood Prince. lol. love that one.
