Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born in NYC, making up stories and putting them to pen and paper (or typewriter, that ancient thing before technology took over) since I was 8 years old. I have published 5 books so far.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book, “The Book of Noah-3:21”, a book about my son who has Down Syndrome and Autism. I am trying to raise money for charities that help kids like him. I also wrote it to relate to parents who have similar struggles and triumphs as my wife and I do.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Well, my mind never stops working, so whenever an idea pops into my head, I’ll grab my smartphone (since my typewriter is broken, lost, or just faded into time) and jot it down. Sadly, my phone is filled with ideas that I never get back to, but usually there is one that will bug me, and at 3 AM I’ll start my next project.
What are you working on now?
At the moment I am just trying to get the word out about this latest book. It is so personal and important to me, and I think it is my best work yet.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Ugh…when I figure that out, I’ll let you know…:)
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write. Period. You can’t create if you don’t start.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t’ get old and say, “What if?” It led to me finally publishing my first book.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I don’t know. Only the winds of change will tell.
