‘Djinn’ is the story of Bijou Fitzroy, a 16-year-old girl, who has spent her life being raised and homeschooled by her nomadic recluse of a grandmother until one day, they decide to settle town in a small town in Maryland, where Bijou is enrolled in a high school for the first time. Naturally, Bijou is socially awkward and quite unsure of herself and to add insult to injury, she’s an empath and feels what people feel about her…well most people. There are some, the Others, who Bijou fears and can’t feel their emotions, so why has she fallen for one of them? Bijou soon learns that she’s not as crazy as she once thought she was and creatures from her imagination take shape in real life as she learns of the girl who stole the powers meant for the sun.
