Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I grew up in a very small town, about 200 people. I spent my days in the lake swimming and thinking of stories. I enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, drawing and writing. I began to write in middle school though I had to put it aside for many years due to family obligations. My first husband was ill and I had to spend a lot of time taking care of him and working several jobs in order to support the family. When he passed away I lost myself in my writing. I now have one novel published and several more on the way to the publisher.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Infamous A.H. It was inspired by the research that I do. I love researching historical England, especially London. The Infamous A.H. is the first book of my London Series.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I talk to my characters, but I don’t think that is too unusual. I suppose the oddest thing I do is go from novel to novel until one talks to me. Then that is the one that I spend my time working on.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Stephen King has been my biggest influence, though not in content. I am influenced by many, many writers and books, like Catherine Coulter and Kat Martin to name just a couple of the many authors who have touched my life in some way.
What are you working on now?
Lord Dansfire, second in the London Series.
Lord Pert’s turbulent world is thrown deeper into chaos when a mysterious woman is embedded into his life. Emotionally scarred by an abusive father, and haunted by paralyzing guilt over his inability to protect his mother, Pert struggles to keep his heart shielded from the beautiful young woman. Pert must break through his fear of becoming his father in order to keep her from being trapped in the same kind of abusive relationship that had drove his mother to suicide.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
The best method is getting your name out there and making a solid author platform. Facebook, Twitter and Goodreads have worked well for me.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Always follow your dream and never be afraid to try something new.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you believe you can do it, you can. If you believe it impossible, it is.
What are you reading now?
Clan of the Cave Bear.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am going to continue working on my novels and hope to one day be a full time writer.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Gunslinger by Stephen King. The rest of the Tower Series comes in a close second.
