“Hidden From the Face of Humans” is both a sweeping epic and a warm story of a family caught up in world politics of the 4th century BCE. You’ll discover mysteries, religions, military battles and regime change as you’ve never seen before. Most of the story is taken from actual historical archives. You’ll enjoy the plot twists and turns, especially when you realize all that all these deceptions really happened.
The plot covers the life and death (no spoiler here – it happens in the first chapter) of Isis priestess, Thermafi who was a close confidant to the last native Egyptian royal family. Hint: It was not Cleopatra – she was Greek and came centuries later. What happened to end the Egyptian lineage for good? Who killed Thermafi? Why? Could this possibly have changed the world in such a profound way?
Along your reading adventure, you’ll recognize some familiar characters and meet new ones. Unfortunately, we only have the names of the women from this time, so the author has taken the liberty of giving them life and a story. Many of the male characters were written up quite well from Greek sources along with quirky personality traits. Hope you enjoy those! The banquets and battles are also included according to historical records. Most important though, you’ll get to know these people and their challenges, loves and disappointments. And maybe you’ll see how we really haven’t changed so much over the centuries after all.
