Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I just started my 25th book. I write both Western Historical Romance and Regency Romance. I love both genres, so I keep myself happy by writing them both.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I have two latest books, actually. Prisoners of Love: Adelaide is a mail order bride book, the first in a new series of five. The inspiration for that book came from my readers. I asked them if they would like a mail order bride series or a wagon train series. They said both, so the series is both a mail order bride and wagon train combined. That book will release in May. The Earl’s Return is the 7th book in my Marriage Mart Mayhem series. That book will release in August. The inspiration from that one came from another book in the series, The Lady’s Disgrace. I’m using the villain in that book as the hero in the new book.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The list is way too long, but to name a few: Jude Devereaux, Linda Lael Miller, Lisa Kleypas, Tessa Dare, Madeline Hunter, Julia Quinn, Jodi Thomas, Joan Johnston. And the list goes on.
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on the first book in a new regency series, Seducing the Marquess.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write, write, write and read, read, read. Don’t just read craft books, read good authors to see what works and read no so wonderful books to see what the author has done wrong.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
You must crawl before you walk, and walk before you run. Everything in life is baby steps.
What are you reading now?
Tessa Dare’s Castles Evermore series
What’s next for you as a writer?
What is your favorite book of all time?
Impossible to say. But if you consider I read Gone With The Wind 17 times, that might qualify.
