Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Dallas native and the mother of 3 awesome adult children. I have always enjoyed reading romances and decided to take the plunge in 2015. I have written 2 books. One being a revision of the other. However, I am currently completing book 3.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Awakening Promise is my latest book. It was inspired by my love of strong African American women and my desire to make a man show his vulnerability. This book is a culmination of strength, love, and courage.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes, I actually do. I find myself waking up in the middle of the night from a dream and wanting to add some aspect of it to my books. I tend to make notes in my notepad. Then I stop and dance with Dance Central and start again.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
As I am an avid reader that's a pretty hard question. Let me see Rhyannon Byrd, her alphas in the Bloodrunners have such depth. Brenda Jackson she makes all things sexy period, Hannah Howells Highlanders are so fierce, and Karen Hawkins makes her story not only historical but intriguing. So I would say these are the authors and their books that influenced me.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on Erupting Fire which is book 3 in the Looneas of Dallas Series.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I find that I use my social media sites almost everyday. I try to post in blog often. I host giveaways on GoodReads and Instagram. I am currently trying mybookplace, and korner konnections now.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
You are only as successful as you choose to be. I mean you wrote a book that in itself is a success.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If they are not with you for the kibbles and bits. Have enough sense not to let them on the gravy train.
