Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an international event producer. Have been for 40 years. My company is Extraordinary Events, and I believe we hold the record for being the most highly-awarded company in the business. I travel the world teaching others my trade and write numerous articles on my blog. I am a single mother, and the grandmother to two boys. But, that doesn’t slow me down! Starbucks keeps me going day and night!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Reflections of a Successful Wallflower – Lessons in Business; Lessons in Life. I wrote it to help inspire other women to believe in themselves and to know that they can if they think they can!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write everything in my head and then pour it out on the computer screen.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am a creative person. I can’t think of any book, author, movie or TV show that doesn’t influence and inspire me!
What are you working on now?
I am outlining a children’s book in my head. Cameron and Ethan, my grandsons, are my advisors.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I haven’t found it yet. I use all social media and try out everything promotional within reason that comes along. You can’t make a sale if you don’t show up.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be honest. Get a good editor. Make sure what you are writing is truly inspired and that it is something that others will want to read. Be prepared to market your books constantly.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Nothing is absolute except change itself.
What are you reading now?
Snow Blood: A Vampire Mystery Thriller (Season 2) by Carol McKibben. I love vampire novels.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Oh, a sequel to Wallflower, of course. My life has been filled with adventure, and it would be mean of me not to share them.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I love too many to narrow it down to one book. Unfair question.
