Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write NRI (Non-Resident Indian) fiction and non-fiction books.
My stories are rooted in Indian tradition and yet very modern. You might see a glimpse of Bollywood in my stories and will definitely enjoy the emotional ride.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is titled “A PAINFUL ORDEAL”.
It is a story of courage and is dedicated to all those who have stood up against any wrongdoing, no matter how difficult the path was!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write in bursts, basically when I feel inspired to write. That means, I don’t write everyday.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have read a number of self-help books and was quite impressed by Deepak Chopra’s work.
What are you working on now?
I am currently busy researching and developing characters for my next story.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I prefer Twitter and Google+ over other social media platforms.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
New authors should ask themselves – which story needs to be told? And then go ahead and write it. Basically work with passion!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write what you know about!
What are you reading now?
I just finished reading “The Isolation Door” by Anish Majumdar. It’s quite an emotional read.
What’s next for you as a writer?
When I ventured into fiction writing, I started with romantic stories. I am now expanding my range. Lets see how this experiment evolves.
What is your favorite book of all time?
My favorite book has to be “Emotional Intelligence” by Daniel Goleman.
